58-Year-Old Male Arrested After Indecent Act and Assault

St. Catharines – Officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) received several calls over three days for a male committing indecent acts in Grimsby, St. Catharines, and Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Investigation determined that a male had approached several women at a liquor store in Grimsby, making sexual gestures and comments.

On another occasion, a male assaulted a female clerk at a cannabis store in St. Catharines. In an unrelated incident, the male also threw a bottle of water at a male employee at a farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Detectives from 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) took carriage of the investigation, identifying a suspect.

On November 10, 2025, 58-year-old Kenneth BETTES of Niagara-on-the-Lake was arrested and charged with the following offences:

3 counts of Criminal Harassment Assault Indecent Act Assault with a Weapon

BETTES remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines.
