The Niagara Regional Police Service running a food drive across Niagara Region starting Monday. It is supporting nine local food banks and 12 local grocery stores in an effort to help support the demand for food and donations in the region.
In a news release, the police service announced: “COVID-19 has been difficult to say the least for most people in our community. Many of the challenges that have come with COVID-19 have compounded the demand for food products to support families within our community.”
The NRPS will host the 1st ever “NRPS Spring Food Drive” and is being organized by officers from the Community Engagement Unit. They will be onsite to greet members of the public and accept donations. Food and cash donations are welcome. Download a list of most wanted items here: Donations Shopping List
