On Sunday, June 1, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Martindale Road and the QEW overpass in the City of St. Catharines.
An initial investigation determined that a stolen white pickup truck was travelling northbound on Martindale Road at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with two oncoming vehicles. All three vehicles sustained significant damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The driver of the stolen vehicle was arrested at the scene.
The investigation was continued by members of the 1 District Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB). As a result, the arrested individual was linked to four other criminal occurrences with the Niagara Regional Police Service, all of which occurred since May 30, 2025.
Joseph BRADY (34 years) of no fixed address, faces the following charges:
Fail to Comply with Probation Order (five counts) Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 Theft Under $5000 (three counts) Break and Enter a Non-Dwelling with Intent
BRADY remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing Monday, June 2, 2025, via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines.
