Grimsby Man Faces Uttering Threats and Gun Related Charges

On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) were dispatched to the area of Terrace Drive and Koornneef Court in Grimsby in response to a threats complaint.

Uniform officers from 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln/West Lincoln) attended and learned that a verbal altercation occurred between two males. The male suspect left the area and returned minutes later in possession of a firearm. The suspect then returned to his nearby residence.

While officers established containment around the home, the suspect exited the residence and surrendered to police without incident.

30-year-old Grimsby resident Lucas TOLLIS was arrested and charged with the following offences:

Uttering Threats Possession of a Weapon

Following the arrest, detectives with 8 District’s Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) obtained judicial authorization for a search warrant at the residence. The search resulted in the seizure of five firearms.

TOLLIS was held for a bail hearing, which took place September 10, 2025, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines.
