On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara-on-the-Lake) officers responded to a stabbing in the area of Niagara Square Drive near McLeod Road.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. officers located a 59-year-old male with a stab wound who was transported to an out of region trauma centre for treatment of his injuries. The victim is believed to have critical but not life-threatening injuries.
The female suspect and the victim engaged in a verbal argument, and the suspect then stabbed the victim once in the back. The suspect then fled the scene in a silver sedan southbound on Niagara Square Drive.
Detectives are asking that anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or for anyone who may have dashcam footage, video surveillance or any other pertinent information to call the Niagara Regional Police Service at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009730.
