In October of 2025, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit (SCU) launched an investigation regarding an individual involved in illegal activity in the City of Niagara Falls.
On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, detectives with the 2 District Street Crime Unit, with assistance from the 1 District Street Crime Unit, received judicial authorization to execute a Criminal Code search warrant at an address in Niagara Falls.
As a result of the investigation, police seized the following:
26.8 grams suspected cocaine (estimated street value of $3216) 26.1 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine (estimated street value of $2088) 1.5 grams suspected fentanyl (estimated street value of $150) $220 in Canadian Currency Several items consistent with the trafficking of illegal drugs
Leon GATES-JARVIS, a 34-year-old resident of Niagara Falls, is charged with the following criminal offences:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 Fail to Comply with Probation Order
GATES-JARVIS was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
