The investigation stemmed from approximately 126 incidents of sharing child sexual abuse and exploitation material over social media platforms between May of 2025 and October of 2025. On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at approximately 8:00 pm, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) Uniform Officers responded to the area of Carlton Street and Sunnylea Drive for a stabbing. Responding officers located a 32-year-old male victim with significant injuries consistent with an edged weapon.
