Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to our 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) Criminal Investigative Branch have continued to investigate a stabbing that occurred on September 4th, 2023, at 10:35pm in the area of Riordon Street and Gale Crescent, in the City of St. Catharines.
The victim, a 46 year old male from the City of St. Catharines was walking through a parking lot off Gale Crescent with a friend when approached by two suspects. The suspects demanded property belonging to the victim’s friend. An altercation took place resulting in the victim being stabbing. Niagara Emergency Medical Service (NEMS) paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to an out-of-town trauma centre. The victim’s injuries were assessed and determined to be non-life threatening. The victim has since been released from hospital and continues to recover from home.

– Black
– Age 28-29 years
– Medium build
– Wearing black pants, black hooded sweatshirt with t-shirt visible underneath, black running shoes with white sole at heel
Suspect #2
– Male
– Black
– Age 15-16 years
– Thin build
– Wearing grey pants and white t-shirt, black running shoes with white soles
Detectives have obtained a CCTV image of suspect #1 and are appealing to members of the public for assistance identifying him.
Area residents are also being asked to review their surveillance footage and contact the lead detective by dialing 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009450 with any relevant information.
