Drug Investigation in the Region of Niagara Leads to 9 Arrests

Since July of 2023, members of the Major Drugs and Guns Unit commenced an investigation into a male suspect in relation to the distribution of narcotics throughout the Region of Niagara.  As a result of the investigation the Major Drugs and Gangs unit, were able to identify a male suspect exhibiting behaviour indicative of trafficking. 

The investigation into the suspect showed him working in collaboration with 5 other suspects.

Police identified 5 residences in the Niagara Region believed to store narcotics. On November 30, 2023, police executed Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrants at these five identified places. 

Police located the following items:

-a loaded 45 caliber Colt Government Issued semi-automatic handgun.

-a 9 mm Smith and Wesson handgun with ammunition

-a loaded silver 45 caliber semi-automatic magazine

-515.5 grams of cocaine

-286.0 grams of suspect fentanyl powder

-4 grams of fentanyl powder

-5.6 grams of methamphetamine

-24 pills of Oxycodone 80 mg

-46 pills of oxycodone 5 mg

-84 pills of 25 mg Adderall

Police seized a total $129,068 worth of narcotics during this investigation.

Hani ABOUKORS (30 years old) was charged with the following offences:

Danielle BRADLEY (22 years old) was charged with the following offences:

Possession for the Purpose of trafficking Cocaine x 2 – Section 5(2) CDSA Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Firearm in a Vehicle – Section 94(1) CC Possession of a Restrict Firearm with Ammunition x2 – Section 95(1) CC Careless Storage of a Firearm x2 – Section 86(1) CC Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x2 – Section 92(1) CC Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000 – Section 355(b) CC

Bhumil PATEL (30 years old) was charged with the following offences:

Possession for the Purpose of trafficking Cocaine x 2 – Section 5(2) CDSA Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Firearm in a Vehicle – Section 94(1) CC Possession of a Restrict Firearm with Ammunition – Section 95(1) CC Careless Storage of a Firearm – Section 86(1) CC Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized – Section 92(1) CC

Annirod NADESAN (46 years old) was charged with the following offences:

Possession for the Purpose of trafficking Cocaine – Section 5(2) CDSA Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Firearm in a Vehicle – Section 94(1) CC Possession of a Restrict Firearm with Ammunition – Section 95(1) CC Careless Storage of a Firearm – Section 86(1) CC Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized – Section 92(1) CC

Catherine HURLEY (29 years old) was charge with the following offences:

Possession for the Purpose of trafficking Cocaine – Section 5(2) CDSA Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Firearm in a Vehicle – Section 94(1) CC Possession of a Restrict Firearm with Ammunition – Section 95(1) CC Careless Storage of a Firearm – Section 86(1) CC Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized – Section 92(1) CC

Krystine QUINLIN (40 years old) was charged with the following offence:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine x 2 – Section 5(2) CDSA Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl – Section 5(2) CDSA Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine – Section 5(2) CDSA

Ryan COLLIER (42 years old) was charged with the following offence:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine – Section 5(2) CDSA

Coleman JOTHAM (31 years old) was charged with the following offence:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine – Section 5(2) CDSA

Jacob HARRIGAN (28 years old) was charged with the following offences:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine – Section 5(2) CDSA Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000 – Section 355(b) CC Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000 – Section 355(a) CC

ABOUKORS, BRADLEY, PATEL, HARRIGAN, JOTHAM, QUINLIN, and COLLIER were all held in custody and appeared in video bail court on November 30, 2023, at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines. 

HURLEY, NADESAN, and COLLIER were released on a Form 10 – Undertaking with a future court date of January 11, 2024, at the Welch Courthouse.
