Pelham, ON – On the morning of Tuesday, August 5, 2025, uniformed officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) conducted a speed enforcement initiative in response to community complaints regarding excessive speeding on Effingham Road in Pelham/Fonthill.
The posted speed limit in the area is 50 km/h. As a result of the enforcement initiative, officers issued a total of eight speeding tickets and three warnings.
The NRPS remains committed to promoting road safety through a combination of education and enforcement. All road users — including motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists — are reminded to obey posted speed limits and traffic regulations. Working together, we can ensure everyone arrives home safely.
