Update 1 – Arrested
On September 23, 2023, at 2:19am 2 District (Niagara Falls/ Niagara on the Lake) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a report of a stabbing in Niagara Falls.
Emergency services responded to the scene at Fallsview Boulevard and Murray Street. A 39-year-old male victim was found suffering from serious stab wounds. Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics treated the victim at the scene and transported him to a local hospital. He was subsequently transported to an out of region hospital for further care.
As a result of the continued investigation, detectives were able to identify the 4 suspects.
Brahmjit S. KALOYA (20 years old) of Bolton, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offence:
Assault cause bodily harm
Amrit S. CHHOKAR (20 years old) of Caledon, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offence:
Assault cause bodily harm
Bikram GOSAL (20 years old) of Brampton, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offence:
Assault cause bodily harm
Manraj SINGH (19 years old) of Brampton, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offence:
Aggravated Assault
KALOYA, CHHOKAR, GOSAL, SINGH were all held in custody and appeared in video bail court on December 5, 2023, at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines

On September 23, 2023, at 2:19am 2 District (Niagara Falls/ Niagara on the Lake) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a report of a stabbing in Niagara Falls.
Emergency services responded to the scene at Fallsview Boulevard and Murray Street. A 39-year-old male victim was found suffering from serious stab wounds. Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics treated the victim at the scene and transported him to a local hospital. He was subsequently transported to an out of region hospital for further care.
The initial investigation determined that the victim had been involved in a verbal argument with a male suspect that escalated to violence. During the fight, the victim was stabbed, once he fell to the ground the group of four suspects beat and kicked him. The four suspects ran eastbound down Murray Street.
A search of the area by uniform officers and an NRPS K9 Unit was not able to locate the suspects.
2 District detectives have been assigned to the investigation.
