On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, detectives from the 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara on the Lake) Street Crime Unit, with the Niagara Regional Police Service, entered an investigation into the sale of controlled substances in the City of Niagara Falls.
As a result of the investigation, detectives seized 133.3 grams of cocaine, 28.4 grams of crack cocaine and 101.4 grams of fentanyl. The estimated total street value of the drugs exceeds $35000.
Kenneth Payne-Braithwaite (37 years old) of Scarborough, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking (2 Counts) Possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking (2 Counts) Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking (2 Counts)
The accused was held in custody and expected to appear in video bail court on November 23, 2023, at the Robert S.K Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines.
