In July of 2025, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) received a report of a sexual assault that occurred at a registered massage clinic and wellness center in the City of Fort Erie. The alleged offence occurred during a scheduled massage therapy appointment.
On Thursday, August 24, 2025, detectives assigned to the Sexual Assault Unit (SAU) arrested and charged Ivo IVANOV (58 years) of Fort Erie, with the following criminal code offence:

IVANOV remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Friday, July 25, 2025, via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone who has information to come forward. Individuals and witnesses with further information are encouraged to contact detectives of the Sexual Assault Unit at 905-688-4111, extension 1007854.
