One Male Arrested and a Second Male Wanted in Relation to Sudden Death Investigation – Niagara Falls

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, uniformed officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) responded to a parking lot in the area of Main Street and Ferry Street in Niagara Falls for a report of a sudden death.

Once on scene, officers discovered the body of a 22-year-old female in the parking lot at the rear of a building.  The investigation was turned over to the Homicide Unit, resulting in an arrest.

43-year-old Christopher St. Louis, of Niagara Falls, has been arrested and charged with Indignity to a Body.

St. Louis remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines.

Detectives are seeking an arrest warrant for a second male.  38-year-old Ryan MAEDER, also of Niagara Falls, who is also wanted for the offence of Indignity to a Body.

Detectives encourage MAEDER to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to police.

At this time the woman’s cause of death remains under investigation.
