Police release video footage of Welland woman who has been missing for more than a week

Nine days after a Welland woman went missing, Niagara police have released security video of her in the hopes that someone might recognize her.

Maria Jagiello, 65, of Welland left her home a week ago Sunday on Feb. 28 at around 7.p.m. in the area of Silver Wood Avenue Street and Roselawn Crescent. 

They release the following footage Tuesday.

The video footage of Jagiello shows her walking eastbound on Gaiser Road, in Welland, at 6:55pm, on Feb. 28, 2021.

Detectives are asking residents in the surrounding area and vehicles with dash cams that may have been in the area to review their video footage.

Jagiello is described as a white female, 5′ 10″ tall, with a medium build and blonde shoulder-length hair.

Detectives are also asking the public to review the video (above). They are asking anyone who may have seen a female matching the description of Maria or anyone with additional information to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, ext. 1009077.
