On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at approximately 5:00 pm, uniform officers from 5 District (Fort Erie) were dispatched to the area of Gilmore Road and Ridgemont Road in the Town of Fort Erie for reports of a vehicle on fire.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that the vehicle appeared to be intentionally set on fire. Responding officers determined that the vehicle had been previously stolen. The vehicle is believed to be a 2013 Orange Hyundai Veloster with front end damage. 5 District Criminal Investigative Bureau (CIB) has taken carriage of the investigation.
Detectives are requesting any residents or businesses who may have observed the vehicle in the area prior to this incident to contact police at (905) 688-4111, option 3, extension 1009506.
