On December 20,2023 at 12:28pm, 5 District (Fort Erie) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) and emergency services personnel responded to a report of a serious all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision in Fort Erie (Stevensville).
NRPS officers, Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics and personnel from the Fort Erie Fire Service responded to Stevensville Road between Bowen Road and Carver Street. A 34-year-old lone male rider from Fort Erie sustained life altering injuries after the ATV he was operating struck a metal fence. The male was air lifted to an out of region hospital for treatment. The injuries sustained by the male were later deemed to not life threatening.
No other vehicles or persons were involved in the collision. The cause of the incident is still under investigation by 5 District officers.
