Detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate this matter. On Tuesday, December 2, detectives located and seized a White 2010 Mercedes GLK350 that is believed to have been involved in the collision.
Detectives are attempting to identify the driver of the vehicle at the time of the collision. Detectives are requesting any member of the public who was in the area of Dunkirk Road and Bunting Road on Saturday November 30, 2025 between 8:15 pm and 8:45 pm to check their dash cameras or CCTV footage for the suspect vehicle.
Detectives are also looking to speak with anyone who may have observed a vehicle matching the description being operated erratically or at a high rate of speed in the area of Niagara Stone Road and York Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake, or Dunkirk Road and Bunting Road in St Catharines.

Update #1 – One Male Injured in Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Collision – St Catharines
Detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate this matter and have determined that the involved vehicle is a white Mercedes SUV. The vehicle was damaged in the collision and is missing parts of the passenger side mirror assembly. The mirror on the suspect vehicle has a distinctive built-in turn signal.
The suspect vehicle was last seen northbound on Bunting Road at approximately 8:25 pm on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Detectives have released video surveillance stills of the suspect vehicle and are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle and registered owner.
Residents and businesses in the area are requested to review video surveillance footage from the time of the incident and are asked to contact police if the suspect vehicle is captured.

One Male Injured in Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Collision – St Catharines
On Saturday, November 29, 2025, at approximately 8:30 pm, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St Catharines/Thorold) Uniform Officers responded to the area of Dunkirk Road at Service Road in St. Catharines for a hit and run motor vehicle collision.
Investigators believe that a white Mercedes collided with a cyclist, before fleeing the area westbound on Dunkirk Road. The cyclist was transported to an out-of-region hospital by Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) with serious injuries. The white Mercedes is believed to have front end damage and damage to the passenger side mirror.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) has taken carriage of the investigation. Detectives are attempting to identify the involved vehicle and driver and are appealing to the public for any information. Residents and businesses in the area are requested to review video surveillance footage from the time of the incident and are asked to contact police if the suspect vehicle is captured.
