Jay Alexander was shot and killed in a Beamsville, Ontario townhome in what is believed to be a drug-related killing. Niagara Regional Police said the attack was targeted.
Beamsville is a community in the town of Lincoln, which is located off the Queen Elizabeth Way highway east of Hamilton, Ontario on the south shore of Lake Ontario.
At 20, Alexander he was an aspiring rapper based in Toronto who performed as NHS Jay Jay or NH$ Jay Jay. When he died, he had just released his 11-track project called Refund.
He had been allegedly caught up in several alleged drug related crimes and arrested in Thunder Bay and Whitby.
