Damage caused by a suspicious fire at Fifty Point Marina early Friday morning is estimated at $185,000.
Firefighters were called to the marina at Fifty Point Conservation Area, 1479 Baseline Rd. in Stoney Creek early on Friday morning. The marina is about five kilometers from the Grimsby’s western town line. Fire was spotted by a security guard around 3:45 a.m. Responders quickly got the fire under control and no one was hurt.
At least five boats sustained damage in the fires. The Hamilton Fire Department called the fire suspicious and the Office of the Fire Marshal has been called to investigate.
