On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) responded to a report of sexual interference at Vintage Park, located in the City of St. Catharines.
The investigation revealed that a male had been communicating with several females under the age of 16 via the social media platform Snapchat, within the Niagara region. The male was reportedly arranging to meet the girls at Vintage Park, where multiple sexual assaults subsequently occurred. The male used Snapchat account names jason39696 and sid45843.
Police located the suspect in the City of Mississauga and identified him as Sartaj Singh, 30. Singh was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Luring a child (two counts) Sexual assault (four counts) Sexual interference (four counts) Invitation to sexual touching Fail to comply with release order (four counts)
Singh was held in custody for a video bail hearing at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on June 6, 2025.
Singh is known to use aliases “Jason”, “Damian Oliver” and “Sid”. Investigators believe there may be more victims and are encouraging them to come forward.
The investigation remains ongoing by detectives from the Child Abuse Unit. They are asking anyone who believes they are a victim or for anyone who may be a witness in the area at the time of the assaults to contact them at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009569.
