409 new COVID-19 cases in Ontario today; Same as Thursday

COVID-19 in Ontario Ontario is reporting 896 new COVID-19 cases today, a decrease from yesterday's report of 934 cases.

Ontario is reporting 409 new COVID-19 cases again today, after reporting the same number on Thursday.

Niagara Region reported four new cases today and four yesterday, raising the total cases ever recorded in the region to 1,011.

“Ontario is reporting 409 cases of #COVID19 as more than 41,800 tests were completed. Locally, there are 204 new cases in Toronto with 66 in Peel and 40 in Ottawa. 65 per cent of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40,” said Health Minister Christine Elliott on Twitter this morning.

There was one new death reported today in Ontario. There were no new deaths reported in the Niagara region yesterday.

Ontario has now had 48,905 confirmed cases, while 42,169 of those cases have been resolved. There have been 2,837 deaths. There are 88 cases in hospitals, with 27 in intensive care and 11 on ventilators.
