The new Mexican restaurant, created by the owner of Grimsby’s The Indian Hut, is now open.

The lights came on in late January 2021 and it is now open for business operating under the self-explanatory name “Mexican Burrito & Taco” located at 3 Mountain St. in Grimsby across from the strip mall that contains the Food Basics grocery store, and adjacent to The Indian Hut.

The takeout and delivery only restaurant offers two sizes of burritos, regular and large, and they come in two styles: Veggie or Meat. Prices are $9.50 to 13.50. Guacamole is an extra $1 on the regular size. It is free on the large burrito.

The eatery also serves a “naked burrito” ($10.50) and soft flour or hard corn tacos that are customizable at $3.25 each or three for $9.95.

They also do a Nachos Platter, Quesadillas, Mexican Salad Bowl as well as sides (chips and salsa, etc). A kids menu offer mini burrito, mini quesadilla or kids taco.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, only two customers are allowed in to order takeout at a time.
