On Wednesday February 23, 2022, at 11:19am, 5 District (Fort Erie) unform officers responded to Patterson’s Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram dealership located at 527 Garrison Road in the City of Fort Erie in response to a robbery.
Investigation revealed that a male had requested to test drive a vehicle, then returned to the dealership, pulled over and made a gesture suggesting he had a firearm. He then demanded the salesperson get out of the vehicle. The salesperson exited the vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene, eastbound on Garrison Road, in a ceramic grey, Chrysler Pacifica.
As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect.
Juan Feliz Sanchez (45 years old) of Nova Scotia, was wanted for the following offence of:
Robbery
On February 25, 2022, the Sault Ste Marie Police Service located and arrested Sanchez. Sanchez was held in custody pending a bail hearing. Sanchez will then face the Niagara Regional Police Service charge upon his return to Niagara.
