NRPS Officers in Thorold Investigating a Residential Break and Enter – Dog Stolen

On July 29, 2022, at approximately 5:30pm, 3 District – Welland uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a residence in Thorold for a report of a break and enter.

Officers arrived on scene at a single-family home in the area of Port Robinson Road and Kottmeier Road.  The initial investigation determined that on July 28, 2022, between 8:00am and 10:00am, an unknown suspect broke into the home.   The home was unoccupied at the time of the incident, aside from a dog named “Mamba” that was stolen. Also missing from the house was the Mamba’s pink collar and black leash.  Mamba is a 3-month-old male Pitbull puppy that is predominantly black with white markings under his chin, on his chest, and on his paws. 

The identity of the suspect and the location of Mamba is unknown,

Anyone (residents or businesses) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between 8:00am and 10:00am on July 29, 2022.
