Suspect Sought After Sexual Assault in St. Catharines

On September 5th, 2022, at 3:21pm detectives assigned to the Sexual Assault Unit commenced an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred near Malcolmson Eco Park located at 325 Lakeshore Road, in the City of St. Catharines at approximately 1:00pm.

Investigation has revealed a 17-year-old male victim was walking with his German shepherd dog northbound along a gravel trail when the suspect approached and a verbal interaction occurred.  The victim was then led by the suspect into a wooded area where the allegation of sexual assault is said to have occurred.  The victim sustained no physical injuries.

The suspect is described as:

–        Male

–        White

–        20-30 Years

–        5’1” Tall

–        Muscular Build

–        Blue Eyes

–        Blonde Shoulder Length Hair (Shaved on Sides)

–        Beard

The suspect was last seen wearing black pants, black dress shoes, a green jacket with a short sleeve button up shirt that was pink, blue, green, and yellow underneath.

The victim and suspect were not known to one and another. 

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have been at Malcolmson Eco Park at the time of the incident and area residence who have CCTV footage that captures the area surrounding the park.
