Pedestrian Struck by SUV on Livingston Ave. in Grimsby

NRPS Collision Reconstruction detectives are investigating after a 14-year female pedestrian was struck by an SUV in Grimsby.

On January 30, 2023, at 7:48am, 8 District – Grimsby uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a car on Livingston Avenue at Brierwood Avenue in Grimsby.  Livingston Avenue was closed down while the female pedestrian in was treated for serious injuries by Niagara EMS paramedics.  The pedestrian was transported to an out of region hospital.  When the pedestrian arrived at the hospital their injuries were determined be life threatening.  The pedestrian remains in hospital.  The vehicle involved is a black H3 Hummer SUV being driven by a 17-year-old female.

The NRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit assisted by the Forensic Services Unit were called in to determine the circumstances and cause of the incident. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have information is asked to contact detectives by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009170

Livingston Avenue has been reopened.
