On December 17th, 2022, at 10:16pm Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) responded to a robbery at Subway, located at 8 Clairmont Street, in the City of Thorold.
Investigation has determined a lone male suspect entered the store and passed a note to an employee alleging he had a gun, before demanding money from the cash register. The suspect proceeded to flee the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. The employee did not sustain any physical injuries and no gun was ever seen.
The suspect is described as follows:
– Male
– White
– 40-50 years
– 6’0” tall
– 180lbs
The suspect was last seen wearing:
– Black face mask
– Dark blue hooded sweatshirt
– Grey pants
Detectives assigned to the 1 District Criminal Investigative Branch have assumed carriage of the investigation and have exhausted investigative means of identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the lead detective by dialing 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009590.
