Detectives Appeal for Witnesses After Robbery in St. Catharines

On July 18th, 2023, at 11:02pm Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) responded to a robbery at a gas station kiosk located on Glenridge Avenue near Riverview Boulevard, in the City of St. Catharines.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with two store clerks who indicated two suspects entered the kiosk and demanded currency from the cash register.  One suspect physically assaulted one of the store employees who sustained minor injuries.  Both suspects fled on foot southbound on Glenridge Avenue with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

Detectives assigned to the 1 District Criminal Investigative Branch have assumed carriage of the investigation.  They have since learned a third suspect was involved and stood watch at the doorway as the other two suspects entered.  The descriptions of the suspects who entered the store are as follows:

Suspect #1

–          Male

–          Black

–          20-25 years of age

–          5’10” tall

–          165lbs

–          Wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood up

–          Wearing a black mask covering his face

–          Wearing black gloves

Suspect #2

–          Male

–          Black

–          20-25 years of age

–          5’9” tall

–          145lbs

–          Wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood up

–          Wearing a black mask covering his face

–          Wearing black gloves
