Tips

Consider the use of motion lights and quality video surveillance equipment. Ensure drapes/blinds are pulled shut, especially when interior lights are on, and it is dark outside. Create a nightly routine to ensure fence gates, exterior doors, windows, and vehicles are locked and secured each night. A metal bell hung on a fence or door can be a great deterrent for unwanted persons and an early warning for the homeowner. Communicate with your neighbours to create an awareness of ongoing issues in your neighbourhood.
