On August 3rd, 2023, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) responded to a break and enter at a commercial property located on Hiscott Street near Scott Street, in the City of St. Catharines.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the owner of the business who indicated the business’s gated compound had been breached and the suspect successfully stole a flatbed trailer. Review of the surveillance footage confirmed the suspect used an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) to tow the trailer from the property.
The trailer is described as a 2017 Advantage landscape flatbed that was black in colour. The value of the trailer is estimated to be $8,000 dollars.
Officers are appealing to members of the public for assistance identifying the suspect seen operating the ATV in the included photo. The ATV is described as red in colour, and the suspect was believed to be wearing a blue jacket and a grey helmet.
Area residents are asked to review their surveillance footage for suspicious activity in and around the Hiscott Street and Scott Street area on August 3rd, 2023, at approximately 2:50am.
