In the early months of 2024, 2 District (Niagara Falls) Street Crime detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service began an investigation into the sale of controlled substances by a suspect in the City of Niagara Falls.
On June 12th, 2024 Members of the 2 District Street Crime Unit were granted a judicial authorization to enter and search a residence in the area of Ker Street and Drummond Road in the City of Niagara Falls.
At 4:15pm, detectives executed the search warrant and located 56.3 grams of fentanyl valued at approximately $4000.00.
Ernest SIMON (36 years old) of Niagara Falls was charged with the following offence:
Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking (Opioid Fentanyl)
John SIMON (39 years old) of Niagara Falls was charged with the following offence:
Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking (Opioid Fentanyl)
E. SIMON was held in custody pending a bail hearing that is expected to take place on June 13, 2024 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines. J. SIMON was released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date.
