Joint Investigation Leads to Arrest of St. Catharines Man for Child Pornography Offences

In May 2024, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Detectives assigned to the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit and Detectives assigned to the Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit (SAICE) became involved in a joint investigation into a suspect making Child Pornography available on the Internet. 

Saul Ernesto Ramses AZURDIA De LEON (24-years-old) used the Internet to make digital image and digital video files of Child Pornography available to other Internet users.  In doing so he committed the following offences:

Possession of Child Pornography x 2 Accessing Child Pornography Making Child Pornography Available

On August 13th, 2024, Detectives in the Niagara Regional Police Service ICE Unit and Technological Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a private residence in the City of St. Catharines and seized numerous devices capable of storing electronic data.   Saul Ernesto Ramses AZURDIA De LEON was located at the residence and arrested at the same time. 

Saul Ernesto Ramses AZURDIA De LEON was held in custody after his arrest and is set to appear for a bail hearing on August 13th, 2024, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines.
