Detectives Investigating Robbery in Thorold

On Saturday, August 31, 2024, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Clairmont Street and Ormond Street S in the City of Thorold in response to a robbery.

Investigation revealed an unknown male entered the 7-11 store at this location and began picking up items to purchase.  The male then proceeded to the cashier with the items and brandished a black hand gun, demanding money from the employee. The suspect left without an undisclosed amount of money and the items he had taken.

The suspect was last seen walking north through the parking lot then west on Clairmont Street.

The K9 unit and uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended and searched the area however had negative results in locating the suspect.

The employee did not sustain any physical injuries.

The suspect is described as:

Male White 5″11 Thin build Blue eyes

Clothing description:

Black hoodie pulled up over his head Black pants Red and black mask covering his face
