52-Year-Old Man Arrested Following NRPS Child Abuse Unit Investigation

In November of 2024, detectives with the Child Abuse Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service began an investigation regarding a sexual assault that occurred on a young person.

Investigation revealed a 52-year-old male allegedly sexually assaulted a male under the age of 16 in the City of Niagara Falls between May and November of 2024.

On November 18, 2024, the suspect was arrested.  Todd Douglas WILLISTON (52 years old) of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with the following offences:

Make Available Sexually Explicit Material to Person Under or Believed to be Under the Age of 16 (2 Counts) Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of Age Sexual Interference with a Person Under 16 years of Age Counselling Indictable Offence Not Committed – Making Child Pornography

WILLISTON was held in custody for a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on November 18, 2024

WILLISTON is currently employed as a school bus driver in the City of Niagara Falls.  He has worked as a school bus driver around Niagara for approximately 4 years.  At this time detectives do not have evidence that an offence has occurred directly related to his school bus duties. 

The investigation remains ongoing by Child Abuse Unit detectives. Detectives have reason to suspect there may be more victims.
