In December of 2024, detectives with 1 District Street Crime (St. Catharines/Thorold) with the Niagara Regional Police Service began an investigation into a break and enter that occurred in the area of Centre Street and Court Street in the City of St. Catharines.
Investigation revealed a male suspect had broken into an apartment at this location, stole a coin collection worth over $10,000 and left the residence.
As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the male suspect.
On February 20, 2025, the suspect was arrested.
Mark STEEVES (56 years old) of St. Catharines, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Break, Entering and Committing (Theft)
STEEVES was released on an Form 10 – Undertaking with a future court date.
