NRPS Investigating Two Assault Incidents in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara-on-the-Lake) are investigating two separate assault incidents that are reported to have occurred in Niagara-on-the-Lake involving the same adult female victim.

First Incident – May 5, 2025

The victim reported that on May 5, 2025, at approximately 9:20pm, she was walking her dog along a pathway in the area of Niagara Stone Road and Henry Street when she was approached from behind by an unknown male and physically assaulted. The victim was able to flee the area and was not physically injured.

Male Lean build Wearing dark clothing

Second Incident – May 11, 2025

On May 11, 2025, at approximately 10:00pm, the same victim was in the backyard of her residence in the area of Homestead Drive and Frontier Drive in Niagara-on-the-Lake when she was again assaulted from behind by an unknown male. The victim was able to escape, after which the suspect fled the area on foot. She was not physically injured.

The suspect in this incident is described as:

Male Approximately 5’10” tall Average build Wearing black clothing

Detectives have conducted extensive investigative work, including neighbourhood canvassing and a review of potential surveillance footage. They are now appealing to the public for assistance.

Request for Surveillance / Dash Cam Footage

Residents, business owners, and visitors in the area are asked to review any surveillance, dash camera, or cell phone footage during the following times:

May 5, 2025 – Between 8:30pm and 10:00pm May 11, 2025 – Between 9:00pm and 11:00pm
