The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) is currently investigating a missing person from St. Catharines and is asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.
The missing person is 80-year-old Daniel Mackler, who has been diagnosed with dementia and schizophrenia. He was last seen leaving his residence near Scott Street West and Ontario Street in St. Catharines on June 5, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m.
Daniel is described as a white male, approximately 5’7” tall with a medium build. He is clean-shaven with short grey hair. He may be wearing grey pants, a beige shirt, and carrying a black backpack.
Daniel has gone missing before and was previously located in Vancouver, British Columbia, after boarding a train.
