On Saturday, June 7, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m. uniform members of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) assigned to 3 District (Welland/Pelham) responded to Welland County Motorcycle Club located at 603 Netherby Road in the City of Welland for a reported motor vehicle accident.
The initial investigation determined that a collision occurred during a motocross bike race. St. John Ambulance paramedics attended the scene immediately and were supported by Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) and Welland Fire Department. Life-saving efforts were initiated; however, tragically, a 29-year-old Welland man succumbed to his injuries.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) and Forensic Services Unit (FSU) attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
