In the spring of 2025, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District Street Crime Unit (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs by two residents of Thorold, Ontario.
Detectives were granted a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. With assistance from the Emergency Task Unit (ETU), the warrant was executed in the early morning hours of June 20, 2025.
A search of the residence yielded approximately 1,110 grams of cocaine and 1,000 grams of crystal methamphetamine, both of which are classified as illegal substances. Additionally, $5,780 in cash was seized, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking. Digital scales and packaging materials were also seized as evidence of drug trafficking offences.
The cocaine has an estimated street value of $72,000, while the crystal methamphetamine is valued at approximately $21,000.
The two occupants were arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offences.
Josh St. Amour, 26, of Thorold, was charged with:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine Possession for the purpose of trafficking – crystal methamphetamine Possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000 Failure to comply with a probation order Obstructing a peace officer
Lexi Judge, 25, of Thorold, was charged with:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine Possession for the purpose of trafficking – crystal methamphetamine Possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000
Both accused were held for a bail hearing at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on June 20, 2025.
