In July of 2025, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Street Crime Detectives assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) initiated an investigation into an individual selling illegal narcotics out of a motel room in Niagara Falls.
On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Street Crime Detectives assigned to 2 District arrested the suspect Jason WILSON (35 years). He was charged with the following criminal offence:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
Upon his arrest detectives formed grounds that WILSON was trafficking illegal drugs. As a result, detectives received judicial authorization to execute a search warrant on a Niagara Falls motel room. Detectives located and seized the following:
65 grams of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $14,300 61.7 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $7404 $1143 in Canadian currency, as well as $47 American currency Scale Several empty vacuum sealed bags
Jason WILSON of Niagara Falls has been arrested an charged with the following additional criminal offences:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl) for the Purpose of Trafficking Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
Wilson remains in police custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing Thursday, July 10, 2025, via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines.
