Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian-Involved Collision

On Friday, July 19, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) uniform officer with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to the area of Stanley Avenue near Main Street in the City of Niagara Falls following reports of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.

When officers arrived, they located a 55 year old female with injuries.  

She was transported to a local hospital by Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) where she was then pronounced deceased. 

Further investigation revealed that a 2010 dark blue BMW was travelling southbound on Stanley Avenue and struck a pedestrian in the southbound lane.

The driver of the BMW, a 20-year-old Niagara Falls resident, remained on scene. 

The investigation remains ongoing by detectives with the NRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit.
