On Friday, September 19, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m. uniform members of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) responded to a hotel in the area of Stanley Avenue and Dixon Street for an Indecent Act call.
The initial investigation determined that a male suspect entered the hotel and approached a female employee. The suspect engaged in an indecent act and attempted to make inappropriate physical contact. The victim was able to alert a supervisor and call for assistance. The suspect then fled the scene in his vehicle and was last seen travelling southbound on Stanley Avenue at 1:18 p.m.
Detectives with the NRPS Sexual Assault Unit (SAU) are continuing the investigation and are attempting to identify the suspect.
The suspect is described as:
Brown male 30 years old 5’10-6’0 feet tall Early 30’s Slender build Short shaved dark hair Short stubbled beard Black T-shirt Black track pants Black shoes
The vehicle is described as:
A dark-coloured SUV (possibly an older model Ford Escape) Rear window covered in duct tape Missing hub cap on rear passenger tire
This investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, extension 1009638.
Detectives are appealing to members of the community for any dashcam, cell phone, or other surveillance footage recorded between 12:00 p.m. and 1:50 p.m. in the area of the incident and to contact investigators if anything relevant is captured.
