Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Mischief Investigation – St. Catharines

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the Niagara Regional Police Service were contacted after two windows were damaged at the St. George Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Detectives with 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) Criminal Investigative Bureau (CIB) took carriage of the investigation and discovered that on Saturday, October 25, at approximately 12:30 am, two male suspects attended the church and placed face coverings over their faces before damaging two exterior windows on the church. The suspects approached the church by walking westbound on Facer Street from Grantham Avenue.

Detectives are attempting to identify the suspects and are appealing to members of the public who may have information regarding the identity of the suspects. Detectives are asking that any businesses or residences in the area review their video surveillance footage and contact police if the suspects are observed.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call (905) 688-4111, option 3, extension 1009123.
