BINBROOK, Ontario – Hamilton Police are looking for a suspicious white cargo van after two men tried to grab a teen and child.
On Tuesday, a 14-year-old girl and was pushing a child in a stroller along Bradley Avenue near Magnificent Way in Binbrook. Two men in a white cargo van stopped in front of the two pedestrians. The driver repatedly told the teen to get into the vehicle. She refused.
The teen screamed and pushed the stroller to a nearby home. The van fled and was last seen travelling northbound on Bradley Avenue. No one was hurt during the incident.
The police describe the vehicle as a white cargo-style van with a high roofline. The driver is described as a white male, in his 20s with a black beard and moustache. He has black hair with short sides and long on the top. He was wearing a black t-shirt and has dark coloured eyes. Police do not have a description of the second man in the passenger seat of the van.
The investigation is being handled by detectives at the Mountain Division Criminal Investigations Bureau. People who live in the area are asked to check their security cameras for a vehicle matching the description provided.
There is no indication so far that the van has been seen in West Niagara communities, but police are asking anyone that may have seen a van similar to image shared and that may have seen suspicious to contact them.
