Lincoln County Humane Society: Sammy
Breed: Bulldog approximately two years old, or younger
Sammy is a very sweet boy! He’s active and energetic and is always on the go. He loves to play with toys and is happy to play on his own as well as with his human friends. He’s also great at fetch and already knows some commands (sit, shake a paw, etc.).
Sammy might bark at strangers and strange noises but he warms up very quickly to people he meets. Offer some sweet talk and it won’t be long before his tail is wagging!
Sammy is a ton of fun to be with but he can be a handful as he is very strong and excitable. His adopter(s) will be committed to providing obedience training so he can improve his manners and learn appropriate behaviours. Sammy is very willing to learn, so his adopter(s) must offer structure and guidance and be very patient.
Sammy’s forever home has a fully fenced yard, no children under 14, no other dogs, and no cats. He should avoid dog parks as he can be hard to control when he gets overly excited and may get himself into trouble. His new family will have prior experience with strong dogs, be very active, and include Sammy in their day to day activities. Life with Sammy will never be dull, and with training and improved manners, he’ll live life to the fullest and be a wonderful best friend!
All adoptable dogs have been given a behavioral test and our staff will be happy to explain the testing and discuss the results with potential adopters during the initial meeting with the dog you are interested in.
