At its meeting on January 27, 2022, the Niagara Police Services Board re-elected Regional Councillor and Mayor of Port Colborne Bill Steele to serve as Board Chair and re-elected Provincial Appointee Dave Eke to serve as its Vice-Chair.  The election of the Chair and Vice-Chair for the Police Services Board is consistent with the provisions of Section 28 of the Police Services Act, which requires the Board to select its executive officers at the first meeting of the calendar year. NRPS Drug Investigation in St. Catharines Leads to Arrests and Seizures of Fentanyl and Cocaine

In the Spring of 2022, the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) Street Crime Unit commenced a drug investigation into the activities occurring at Tasker Street home in the City of St. Catharines.  This investigation was initiated after the NRPS received public complaints alluding to the illegal sale of illicit drugs.   Read more…
