Niagara Regional Police Service detectives assigned to the 3 District (Welland / Pelham) Criminal Investigative Branch have been actively investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the CIBC Bank located at 200 Fitch Street, in the City of Welland on May 24th, 2023, at 12:36pm.
With the assistance of the CIBC Bank, surveillance footage has been obtained and detectives are appealing to members of the public for assistance identifying the suspect.
The updated suspect described is as follows:
– Male
– White
– Approximately 5’6” tall
– Approximately 30-40 years of age
– Grey hair or possibly wearing a grey wig
The suspect was last seen wearing:
– Black baseball hat with a red brim
– Blue surgical mask covering his face
– Black 3/4 length jacket with a hood
– Grey pants or possibly blue jeans
– Shoes with a white sole
Detectives continue to appeal for area residents and businesses to review their CCTV footage for imagery that may assist in this investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the lead detective by dialing 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1008980.
