Canadian Blood Services says it is struggling to book enough blood donors for its Good Friday donation clinic in Smithville.
The blood collection agency has booked a few donors for its Smithville donation clinic on Good Friday, however, it needs at least 40 more donors to step up and register.
“Canadian Blood Services is calling on new and returning donors in West Lincoln to book an appointment to give life on Friday, April 2, in Smithville to ensure patients receive the blood they need,” said Tammy Maroudas, Canada Blood Services Territory Manager.
She added: “While many Canadians observe Easter this upcoming holiday long weekend, new and returning blood donors can do something special for hospital patients by donating blood.”
Registration is not limited to West Lincoln residents. Anyone can book and attended the clinic in Smithville.
The clinic is being held 9 am to 2 pm on Friday, Apr. 2 at Smithville Donation Centre located at John Calvin School, 320 Station Street in Smithville, West Lincoln.
Donors can book now at blood.ca on the GiveBlood app or call 1 888 2 Donate (1-888 236-6283).
