On Sunday January 12th, 2025, at approximately 8:22pm, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service were conducting general patrol in the area of Ontario Street and King Street in the City of St. Catharines. On January 9, 2025, at 12:11pm our 1 District (St. Catharines/ Thorold) uniform officers responded to Princess Ann Circle in St. Catharines for a possible shooting. Officers arrived on scene and found a victim suffering from serious injuries. The victim was treated by Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics and transported to an out of region hospital.
